General Guidelines to Maine Judicial Branch Schedules on State Shut Down Days

2010 Administrative Weeks:

Admin Week Spring 2010-March 29 through April 2
Admin Week Summer 2010-May 31 through June 4
Admin Week Fall 2010-October 18 through October 22

New Court Hours for Courthouses in Region I

As part of the court’s on-going effort to remain within its budget, State Court Administer, James T. “Ted” Glessner announced a reduction in public courthouse hours for courts facing significant staffing shortages, which will take effect immediately. This reduction is due to the budget cuts adopted for the present biennium and is not the result of the supplemental budget curtailment process.

Here are the reduced hours and courts affected:

Region I:
York District Court - to close each Tuesday 8 am - 10 a.m.

Biddeford Dist Ct -to close every Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

York County Superior Ct - to close each Tuesday and Wednesday 2 – 4 p.m.
