If the case is settled before the hearing date, you should notify the clerk, in writing, immediately so that the hearing can be canceled and the case can be dismissed.

I am satisfied with this settlement and have no further claim against Mr. Smith. The hearing that was scheduled to be held on April 22, 2008 may be canceled and the case dismissed.
