Changes to Writs of Execution Effective January 1, 2013
Beginning January 1, 2013, clerks will no longer calculate interest for the purpose of issuing Writs of Execution. Calculation of the exact amount of interest due will be the responsibility of the Judgment Creditor.
All Writs of Execution issued after January 1, 2013 will include the amount of the judgment, any attorneys fees, late fees and interest explicitly included in the judgment, costs, the date the judgment was entered, and the pre-judgment and post-judgment interest rates. For those judgments in which there are multiple counts, the information above will be listed individually for each count.
